Illinois-Based Printer Expands Facility and Adds Personnel in Preparation for Installing the SCREEN Truepress JET 560HDX

SCREEN Americas announces an expanded working relationship with VISOgraphic of Addison, Illinois. The full-service commercial printer recently committed to purchasing the Truepress JET 560HDX to support its growing demand for commercial print and direct mail services. The printer’s proximity to SCREEN Americas’ headquarters in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, will allow the print provider to assist in demonstrating its latest high-speed inkjet technology to potential SCREEN customers in addition to its own.

“As more and more printers of various sizes continue to evaluate high-speed, roll-fed inkjet technology for their operations, our relationship with VISOgraphic will be invaluable to our business,” said President Ken Ingram of SCREEN Americas.

In preparation for the increased revenue VISOgraphic expects to generate from the Truepress JET 560HDX, the company has undertaken a massive development project that includes building an additional 12,000 square feet onto its existing 38,500-square-foot facility. The added space will include two new finishing lines to accompany the SCREEN technology.

“We’re excited to open our doors to showcase the Truepress JET 560HDX in our newly expanded facility,” said Bob Dahlke Jr., principal of VISOgraphic. “As a midsize company, the new press from SCREEN will allow us to take on bigger jobs, offering our customers higher quality products with quicker turnarounds.”

A 30-year veteran of the printing industry was recruited specifically for the company’s digital inkjet production. Ray Hoshell, now vice president of inkjet operations, was the obvious choice for the position, according to the team at VISOgraphic, which now employs 65 people.

“I’m looking forward to heading up the digital inkjet division of VISOgraphic and specifically working with the Truepress JET 560HDX,” said Hoshell. “The efficiencies of the 22-inch path will allow VISO to run fully variable jobs at a substantial savings. The advantage of the 22-inch print path is that the press can print head-to-head with full bleeds.”

VISOgraphic is family owned and was founded in 1946. A business-to-business printer, it primarily serves those in the automotive, travel, distribution and pharmaceutical markets along with nonprofit organizations. In addition to commercial printing and direct mail marketing services, VISOgraphic offers folding carton and packaging applications.
