SCREEN Digital Inkjet Label Technology Showcased in Two Labelexpo ’16 Booths

SCREEN Americas, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of digital inkjet technology will be demonstrating and highlighting its Truepress Jet L350UV UV Inkjet label printer in both in its Labelexpo 2016 Booth #3005 and at the Anderson & Vreeland booth #929. Anderson & Vreeland is an authorized distributor for the SCREEN inkjet label printing system.

The Truepress Jet L350UV is SCREEN's answer to the exploding demand for value-added packaging. Its versatility, photo-realistic quality, fast job turnarounds and stable output are standout features of this innovative inkjet label printing system. The Truepress Jet L350UV helps printing companies meet customer needs with products that differentiate themselves in the crowded marketplace.

Demonstrations of the Truepress Jet L350 UV will include live, on-the-show-floor printing on a number of label stocks and colors and configuration as proof of concept. Plus, in the Ohio-based Anderson & Vreeland’s booth, beer labels designed specifically for the event will be printed and featured on bottles of beer brewed by a Chicago area micro-brewery.

The L350UV delivers all that’s needed for cost effective short- to medium-run production of decorative pressure-sensitive labels, trial market and versioning with improved product appeal. Its peak speed of 164 feet per minutes (or 173. 2 square feet of printed labels per minute) makes for cost-effective print runs.

SCREEN's proprietary high-definition UV inks produce a wider color gamut with the Truepress Jet L350UV than that of the typical four-color process. Optional opaque white ink further boosts color vibrancy and allows printing on transparent film and metallic foil. Another bonus built into the L350V is simplified maintenance through its automatic printhead cleaning function. Results will stay consistent thanks to the simple click of a button to start the cleaning process after printing is finished. The next time the Truepress Jet L350UV is started up, it’s ready to get back to the next round of printing work immediately.

Sean Cummins, product manager for the Truepress Jet L350UV, believes that UV inkjet for label printing has hit its stride. “UV inkjet has truly come of age,” Mr. Cummins said. “It has become an industry mainstay for high quality, rapid label production. The L350UV came on the marketplace at the right time and remains the preferred press for modern label shops.”

Another SCREEN solution on exhibit at Labelexpo is the Truepress Jet L250AQ small label printer. This compact, short run, digital inkjet label press uses water based dye ink. Its long lasting printheads produce 1600 dpi print resolution on a variety of media. With its large touchscreen monitor and accompanying software that calculates exact cost per label, the L250AQ delivers on SCREEN’s goal of meeting modern printing needs in an ever changing market. It also features a self-predictive full printhead cleaning system and web cleaner.

Yoji Otsuka, president of SCREEN Americas, commented on the company’s commitment to the label market. “We believe in the success of the label production industry, and will continue to offer solutions that augment the business goals and growth of our customers and partners,” Mr. Otsuka said. “When they succeed, we succeed.

“We are happy to participate in Labelexpo 2016 which is an important industry showcase,” he said. “It is a wonderful opportunity for businesses from around the world to come together in the Chicagoland area.

“Visitors to our booth will not only get to see our well-known Truepress Jet L350UV in action and what it is capable of producing and the SCREEN L350 Jet Converter Label Converting Line, they will also be introduced to our new compact press the Truepress JetL250AQ.
