SCREEN Graphic Solutions Co., Ltd. announces that it has shipped a combined total of 20,000 units of its PlateRite series of computer to plate (CTP) recorders for printing systems. The milestone included shipments by SCREEN’s OEM partners and took place at the end of September 2023. SCREEN is responsible for developing, manufacturing and distributing the PlateRite series.
SCREEN GA originally launched the PlateRite1080 in 1995. In contrast to the then mainstream process of outputting data onto film and then transferring it to plates, the system was able to print data directly onto the plates. The new filmless approach significantly streamlined prepress production and reduced the environmental impact while also promoting digitalization of the overall printing process.
Following its release, the PlateRite series quickly gained the market’s trust thanks to its combination of superior output quality, high stability and reliable support system—all backed by the SCREEN Group’s core image processing technologies. SCREEN GA has also developed various ranges to meet specific customer needs and has been a leader in adopting pioneering technologies. This has seen it expand the lineup with various energy-saving models that continue to deliver the same well-known quality and productivity.
As a result of these various efforts, 28 years after its initial release, the PlateRite series has reached a major milestone. SCREEN GA along with its OEM partners has shipped a grand total of 20,000 units of the series.
Going forward, SCREEN GA intends to continue its work as a leading manufacturer of CTP systems by promoting the automation of production lines and developing further solutions to address specific customer issues. It expects these initiatives to lead to the creation of products that meet diverse market needs. At the same time, the company plans to accelerate its efforts targeting the development of a sustainable society, also allowing it to contribute to the long-term growth of the printing industry.
All PlateRite CTP systems are developed and manufactured by SCREEN.
When everything is perfect before you go to press, you know it’s SCREEN.
The SCREEN team headed to Las Vegas the second week in September for PRINTING United Expo 2024 where it occupied one of the biggest exhibit spaces on the trade show floor. With the theme Creating Your Future in Print, SCREEN Americas provided solutions to commercial, publishing, direct mail, label and packaging printers who were in the process of converting or expanding their print operations to digital inkjet technology.
Eleven rolls of captivating labels produced by one operator in one day was the highlight in SCREEN Americas’ booth at Labelexpo Americas 2024 in Chicago September 10–12. Attendees had a chance to observe prime and industrial labels printed on various substrates using CMYK, white, blue and orange inks on the Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI Series.
