SCREEN Graphic Company Solutions Ltd. announces the prototype development of an in-line digital inkjet primer for its flagship label printing press, the Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI. The ground-breaking primer addresses one of the biggest challenges in UV digital inkjet printing—poor ink adhesion on certain substrates.
Typically, poor ink adhesion was routinely resolved through offline pre-priming of the substrate before printing labels. With this new cutting-edge development, SCREEN now eliminates this extra step by incorporating an in-line digital primer directly inside the press.
This innovative solution not only saves time and resources but could potentially have the ability to deliver superior ink adhesion on a wide range of substrates and deliver better print quality that enhances visual appeal and brand impact.
The primer was on display at Labelexpo Europe 2023 in Brussels, Belgium.
