SCREEN Adds High-speed Monochrome Model to Truepress Jet520HD Series
Use of SC Inks Enables Direct Printing on Coated Papers
SCREEN Graphic Solutions Co., Ltd. (SCREEN GA) has finalized development of its new Truepress Jet520HD mono, the latest addition to its Truepress Jet520HD series of high-speed roll-fed inkjet presses. The system is a specialized model for monochrome printing. It is scheduled for worldwide release in the second quarter of FY2020.
In recent years, on-demand production of required numbers of copies has become standard across the printing industry and the scope of application for this approach continues to expand. On-demand production has been advancing rapidly, particularly for high-resolution, full color printing. However, with a view to improving the general operating ratios of systems and optimizing entire production facilities, there have also been growing calls to raise the efficiency of monochrome printing, which continues to account for a consistent proportion of overall output.
In response to these industry trends, SCREEN GA recently finalized development of its Truepress Jet520HD mono, the first high-speed roll-fed monochrome press for its Truepress Jet520HD series. The new system inherits the cutting-edge technologies SCREEN GA has previously created for the Truepress Jet520HD series and features high-precision output at resolutions of up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi.
The Truepress Jet520HD mono is also equipped with SCREEN GA’s unique Truepress ink SC range, which has already established an impressive track record with other Truepress Jet520HD models. These inks give the press the ability to print directly onto offset coated papers.
In addition, the highly compact configuration of the Truepress Jet520HD mono provides greater flexibility when choosing the installation site. It is also designed for enhanced usability. Output instructions, confirmations and other processes can easily be managed from a tablet device, noticeably improving operational efficiency.
This wide range of advantages allows the Truepress Jet520HD mono to be added to a production line as a dedicated monochrome press or used to replace toner-based production printers. In both cases, the system is capable of delivering major increases in efficiency for monochrome output.
